Insolar (INS) aims to create distributed business networks which will use new innovations in blockchain to make them secure and interoperable. Noteworthy members of the team include the co-founders Peter Fedchenkov and Dmitry Zhulin, who previously founded Instmart, a grocery delivery service in Russia.

Hype and Reach

The community trust score relating to the project is 100%. We found no reports of scams, red flags or other concerns in regards to the project.

Transparency

Insolar (INS) looks to be particularly transparent in regards to its commercial operations and was scored 100% in this section. It has a privacy policy, legal disclaimer and contact information available to evaluate on its website and supporting sites. They also appear to be hiring staff for their office in Moscow.

Backing

The project scored 80% for VC backing. It has the support of a number of venture capital companies or noteworthy backers, including Wings Foundation and Blockchain Ventures, according to the team.

Product Completion

The Testnet 1.0 was launched on January 22, 2019, and Testnet 1.1 is due to be launched on March 4, 2019. The Enterprise Platform 1.0, Mainnet and INS Wallet are due to launch in the fourth quarter of this year. We have scored the project 80% in this section as the Testnet is live and the Mainnet is scheduled to launch this year.

Conclusion

Insolar appears to be a promising project. Due to the progress made on its testnet, its operational transparency, team, and backing, the project is considered a relatively low risk for potential investors. INS also has some liquidity and can be traded on four different exchanges, with the majority of the volume on Binance. According to Etherscan, there are 16,648 total holders of the INS ERC20 tokens.
