Avelacom, a global connectivity and IT infrastructure platform for financial services providers, announced on May 23 that it is entering a strategic partnership with cryptocurrency exchange Seed CX. Per the new agreement, Avelacom customers will now have access to Seed CX’s real-time market data and order-routing solutions.
A More Efficient Way For Institutional Investors to Trade Digital Assets
The strategic partnership between the two entities will come handy for the institutional investors signed up with Avelacom because of Seed CX’s expertise in institutional trading and settlement of spot digital assets.
The partnership comes at a crucial time when more and more institutional investors are considering flocking to get their feet wet in the somewhat-unpredictable but lucrative cryptocurrency market.
For those unfamiliar with the Chicago-based trading platform, Seed CX, along with four of its subsidiaries, aims to provide institutional investors with a seamless cryptocurrency trading experience indistinguishable from the trading services offered by traditional exchanges.
The company’s ability to offer institutional-grade custody through superior encryption and its private key storage system is likely to have played a huge role in helping it seal the deal with Avelacom.
Aleksey Larichev, Managing Director at Avelacom, reacted to the new development by saying:
“Seed CX is a true benchmark in the digital assets space. We are delighted to support this healthy ecosystem by providing our clients with low latency access to the digital asset space to facilitate trading at the highest standards.”
Avelacom’s data centers located in Equinix NY4/NY5 will now offer clients “the fastest, safest, and highest quality access to Seed CX’s digital asset liquidy points globally,” the company noted in a press release.
The offering will be optimized to fully support the requirements of all sorts of institutional investors including proprietary trading firms and hedge funds.
Opportunity For Seed CX To Increase Global Footprint
As for Seed CX, the company’s roadmap to establish itself as a preferred destination for institutional crypto investors on a global scale has received a big boost from this newly forged partnership with Avelacom.
Saying that the company was “very excited” to be collaborating with Avelacom, Adam Leaman, the Head of Marketing Operations at Seed CX, said:
“This partnership will not only expand Seed CX’s global presence but also allow clients already leveraging Avelacom’s high-performance network to connect to our markets. It is our view that this and similar partnerships will aid in the adoption of digital assets by institutional investors.”
Avelacom, whose clientele includes several global heavyweights in the financial services industry, currently offers low-latency network links to more than 80 trading venues worldwide. The company has established itself as a particularly dominant stakeholder in emerging markets because of its competitively priced cross-border multi-asset trading solutions.
The company cozied up to the crypto space last year to meet the growing demand coming from institutional investors.
