As soon as you set your eyes on Ra4w’s homepage, you see it vows to not keep any logs on any of its servers. Most VPNs say this, but they don’t all live up to their claims.
Ra4w does not keep any logs.
It collects your email and payment information, but the only thing it keeps is your email address. Ra4w does not ask for your name, phone, or home address. It also does not monitor or log any data in its VPN tunnels. So far, everything checks out well here.

The best of the best in the VPN industry uses AES 256-bit encryption. This is precisely what Ra4w uses as well. This type of encryption is military-grade, and no one can break it. At least you know that your data is safe with this service.

Can You Torrent Using Ra4w?
Can it get any better? Yes, it can. Ra4w allows unlimited torrenting with no restrictions. Regardless of what server you are using, you can torrent to your heart’s content. Since there is no P2P sharing with this VPN, you can remain safe even when you are downloading large files.

Once you have everything up and running, you’ll see a clunky looking interface that looks like it came out of a carnival fun house. Getting onto a server is as simple as choosing your location and clicking connect. We were unable to find any information about a kill-switch so we will go ahead and assume there is not one.

Can You Stream Netflix Using Ra4w?
We wish the good news could continue, but it can’t. Many VPN services are losing their Netflix streaming abilities, and Ra4w is not exempt from that list. According to our research, this VPN used to be a “go-to” choice for people looking to break through Netflix’s barriers. Today though, it is not.
When you are using Ra4w, you will not be able to stream Netflix.
Does Ra4w Have a lot of Servers?
Our benchmark for what we would call “a lot” of servers would be more than 100. Ra4w has only 33 servers in 20 countries, which is on the smaller side. When a VPN does not have a lot of servers, it can become crowded. When the servers are crowded, they become slow, and when they are slow, you have a lot of unhappy customers.
Despite the small number of servers, one benefit Ra4w does offer is that it allows you to connect an unlimited number of devices with a single subscription.
How Fast is Ra4w?
Our previous section led right into this perfectly. Ra4w has a tremendous impact on your internet speeds. During our research, we noticed EU servers performing at about 92% slower than usual. US servers were 55% slower. Not good.
Final Thoughts
While Ra4w has some flaws, there is a lot of good beneath the surface. However it still doesn’t make our best VPN list. You get state of the art encryption with no logging. You also get a VPN for the price of a Starbucks coffee.
Overall you are still better going with one of the premium VPN’s, surfshark for example is even cheaper and has way more features. Others like Nordvpn and Expressvpn can be as cheap if you subscribe for a year, well worth it in our opinion.
