Trust.Zone VPN Review [2020 Update] – Our Test & Conclusion

Trust.Zone is a VPN service which works with Netflix, doesn't log its users, has fast connection speeds, and strong encryption. However, some question marks surround the credibility of the company.

Here we have a VPN service based outside of the 14 Eyes Alliance. This VPN is in a small country called Seychelles. This is a good start and something we like to see with a VPN, we generally like them to be in places where privacy can really be the focus point.

But, what does this mean?

It means that your data is safer with this VPN because it is not required to forfeit any of your information to the various Governments within the alliance. A jurisdiction like this also decreases the likelihood that a VPN will log your data.

So far, it seems like Trust.Zone provides you with the anonymity you are looking for. Let’s see if everything else checks out.

Can Trust.Zone Protect Your Privacy?

Due to the location of this VPN’s headquarters, you immediately gain privacy by being outside the surveillance of countries in the alliance like the United States, Canada, New Zealand, Germany, Belgium, Italy, and more.

Along with a great location, Trust.Zone also provides you with 170 servers in 96 locations. This number is not the most we have ever seen, but we like the fact that they are spread out across the world. This gives you more options based on your location, and it’s unlikely that this server network gets cluttered with everything so spread out.

Trust.zone is available for use with iOS, Android, Linux, Windows, and Mac. We would like to see it usable on smart TVs, game systems, and routers as well, but currently, it’s not.

At first glance, Trust.Zone is doing a lot right. It is taking many steps to protect your privacy and ensure nothing bad happens to your data.

What We Like About Trust.Zone

Overall, it seems like Trust.Zone checks a lot of our boxes. The service provides a lot of great features as well as industry-leading security. Let’s take a more in-depth look.

No Logging Policy

No Logging Policy

In almost every VPN review, we find a no logging policy, and most of the time we later find out that we were misled to think our information wasn’t being stored. With Trust.Zone, it does seem like your information is safe. It has a no logging policy that states it only collects your email address.

It does not ask for any more information, and it doesn’t keep logs. So, as long as it is being honest, you’re good to go.

Stay Encrypted

The most important thing about a VPN is that it protects your privacy and keeps your information safe. To do that, you need state of the art encryption and the latest protocol. With Trust.Zone, you get that and more.

It uses AES-256 bit encryption with OpenVPN and L2TP. We’re finding that this is becoming the standard across most VPNs. With this type of security, you should not have to worry about your information falling into the wrong hands.

Good Speed Test Results

It’s acceptable to see a drop in speed when connected to a VPN server; we expect that. With Trust.zone, we were pleased only to find a download speed drop of only 10-20 percent. During our research, we found Trust.Zone to be one of the fastest VPNs available.

Netflix and Torrenting Work

Let’s start with Netflix. You’ll have to look around for servers in its network when trying to stream Netflix, but you will find many that allow you to bypass Netflix’s restrictions. When it comes to torrenting, you should have no problem torrenting on all of Trust.Zone’s servers.

What We Dislike About Trust.Zone

Although this VPN might have some great features, there are some major issues we need to mention. Here are some of the biggest problems we have with Trust.Zone.

Sketchy Business

During our research, something we always look for is a company to back up the VPN. If the service is not owned by a communications or IT company, we tend to worry about the real intentions behind the VPN.

What We Dislike About Trust.zone

There is little information available about the ownership of Trust.Zone, and as a result, it could be anyone. There could be Russian spies tracking you, the CIA, DEA, etc. You cannot merely trust this VPN because it says its location is in the Seychelles, and it claims not to log information.

Poor Customer Support

The lack of customer service somewhat reinforces our previous issue of sketchy business practices. Support is only available Monday to Friday between 6 am and 4 pm GMT. Almost always, VPN services provide customer support 24/7, and many even have live chat available.

During our research, we found the customer service team to be responsive but unenthusiastic and unhelpful. Plus, having such a small window for customer support is a significant downside.

Our Verdict

The greatest thing about Trust.Zone is its versatility. You can use Netflix; you can torrent, you can use Tor. You have options, and everything seems to work well. You also get top-notch security with military-grade encryption so anonymity should be the least of your concerns.
